Weightless Lines - Room No.6
Artelo Hotel located in Kennett Square, PA
9’x Interior Mural, Acrylic
Weightless Lines is a meditation on the inherent ambiguity of the human condition. It is a celebration of the capacity of identity and vastness of our consciousness. These opposing forces - our minds' narratives dictating our reality and the liberating journey of transcending those imposed structures, especially the ones we impose on ourselves, show us the boundless potential for growth and transformation within ourselves and our humanity.
Dark, structured lines, representing the pathways created in our mind, the unconscious constraints of perception, culture, language and more, colliding as rigid structures of identity are met with bursts of abstract freedom and expression. I want to express with layers of texture and pattern the imperfections of being human, repetitive cycles and interconnectedness. I hope to invite the viewer to reflect on the transformative power of releasing our narratives and expanding our consciousnesses outside of the structures we assume. How the expansion of the self can lead to deeper empathy for ourselves and others.
