ABOUT LIZ

Liz is a multidisciplinary artist. She was born in Peru, raised in the Midwest, and is ever-growing up, currently in Brooklyn, NY. Liz's background, interests and learning exploration infuses her work with a unique blend of influences and perspectives. Collaborating with various clients over several years, she has contributed her artistic vision to interior murals, signage, illustration, and more. Her dynamic portfolio showcases her various styles, love of dissonant color, geometry, symbol, and texture.

Within her personal work, she is fueled by an exploration of spiritual evolution and identity. Her magnetic pull towards exploring the connection between art, science, consciousness and spirituality is a testament to her insatiable curiosity about the unknown and ambiguity of reality. This curiosity confirms within her the concept that the more one learns, the more one understands how little anyone knows, a realization that brings her a sense of freedom. She is captivated by the interplay of opposing forces within herself and humanity, eager to express the extremes and possibilities she senses.

Her work is a testament to her exploration of tensions between science and spirituality, personal ego and the collective, structure and freedom, and especially the balance and blending of her analytical and creative mind. She yearns for the rawness that makes us human, and strives to be able to openly express her humanity to others through her work. She embraces the power of abstraction, surrealism and ambiguity to set her free, allowing concepts of identity and meaning to layer and change through time.

Her ultimate aim is to express these themes of her inner world visually, and to find connection with others in her work through the limitless nature of consciousness. She hopes her work resonates with others, encouraging interests them in making personal interpretations, recognizing that reality does not have a definitive answer, the liberation and potential of what we can create together in that space.
